American Addition

The historic American Addition neighborhood located in Columbus north central community is undergoing a revitalization.  Platted in 1898, American Addition was historically a neighborhood of migrant and minority working families.  Today American Addition continues to be the home of working families and individuals that enjoy the easily accessible central location and the blend of urban living in a rural setting.

Homeport’s new home development in American Addition will feature traditional architecture designs with 3 bedrooms and 1.5-2 bathrooms.  Each Homeport home is a quality design with energy efficiency and sustainability built in.  Homes built in American Addition also feature a real estate property tax abatement of up to 15 years.  This abatement provides significant savings by reducing the amount you pay for your property taxes!
